From raw data
to usable data

Each driver already knows how to talk to the machine: addresses, variables, data types and units of measure. It acquires operational (OT) data from your assets and converts it into a format that business applications and cloud platforms can use right away.

  • No code: the driver configures communication with the machine on its own.
  • No installer: the library is already built into Alleantia Core.
  • Lower integration time and costs, with a plug & play approach.

Create your own

If you can’t find the right driver in the public library, you create it with the Driver Editor and save it in your Private Library. This way you can also manage the most specific devices, securely and integrated into your IoT gateway.

  • With the Driver Editor you create custom drivers for your devices.
  • The drivers you create stay in your Private Library.
  • If you prefer, the Alleantia team develops the driver on request.

Native protocols

Speaks the language of every machine

The drivers communicate with each device’s native protocol, from open standards to manufacturers’ proprietary ones: over 70 protocols, already built into Alleantia Core.

What you can connect

A motor, a sensor, a cobot?

Whatever industrial device you need to connect, the library has its driver with the matching communication protocol. Here are the main families.

Frequently asked questions

The library at a glance

What is the Machine Drivers Library?

It is the industrial driver library of Alleantia Core: over 5,000 preconfigured drivers to connect PLCs, CNCs, robots, sensors and legacy devices to cloud, MES, ERP and business applications, with no custom development and no code to write.

What does an industrial driver do?

It handles communication with the machine through its protocol, native or standard. It acquires operational (OT) data and converts it into a format that business applications and cloud platforms can use right away.

Which protocols do the drivers support?

Over 70 industrial protocols, including OPC UA, OPC DA, Modbus TCP and RTU, Siemens S7, Profinet, EtherNet/IP, MQTT, MTConnect, Euromap, NMEA, Omron FINS, Mitsubishi MELSEC, Fanuc FOCAS and Heidenhain native protocols.

What if there is no driver for my machine?

You can create it with the Driver Editor and save it in your Private Library, or ask the Alleantia team to develop it on request.

What is the Private Library?

It is your personal library where you save the drivers created with the Driver Editor. It lets you manage the most specific devices securely and integrated into your IoT gateway.

Does the library also work with legacy machines?

Yes. It includes hundreds of drivers for older machines with proprietary or serial protocols.

Do I need to install additional software?

No. The library requires no installer: you use the drivers from Alleantia Core, which installs on Windows, Linux, Raspberry Pi and Docker, as well as on Cisco IOx gateways and Azure IoT Edge.
