Typically, machine manufacturers provide industrial remote access through a “router,” additional (physical) equipment with wifi connectivity or mobile telephony, enabling a virtual private network (VPN) for data security and remote access.
However, this configuration has 3 limitations:

In the case where the VPN is managed by the machine supplier, deactivation via the switch secures the end user from unauthorized intrusion.
